Man shot at Campbelltown Station after threatening police with knife

A man has been shot by police officers at a train station in Sydney’s south-west.
The incident took place at Campbelltown Station just before 2:45pm.
It’s believed the man, aged in his 30s or 40s, was speaking to officers from the Police Transport Command when he pulled out a knife.
Ben Fordham has revealed officers tried to taser the man after he allegedly threatened them with the weapon.
A source has told him an officer shot the man once in the stomach, with reports suggesting he lunged at them.
The man has been taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
The Police Association say they are aware of a critical incident and their representatives are on the scene.
