UPDATE: One man arrested, one hospitalised after CBD shooting
A local business owner, Jasmine, has told Michael McLaren of a shooting on Bathurst Street in Sydney CBD.
NSW Police have released a statement:
About 12.50pm on Wednesday 28 February 2024, emergency services were called to a building on Castlereagh Street in the Sydney CBD, following reports of a person being shot.
Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and found a man believed to be suffering a gunshot wound.
The man is being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and first responders.
A crime scene has been established and the public are advised to avoid the area to allow emergency services access and egress.
A man has been arrested and there is no further ongoing threat to the community.
Further information will be disseminated when it becomes available.
