Man suspended from Funeral Association after wild brawl

There is an update on the case of two funeral directors being involved in a brawl at a funeral service.
Paul Lahood Jr has been suspended from being a member of the funeral association after punching a fellow funeral director.

Two funeral directors have been involved in a brawl at a funeral service.
The directors turned up at the same time at the Catholic Office at Rookwood and it led to a verbal altercation.
It’s alleged Paul Lahood Jr then punched John Francis from Sympathy Funerals in the face.
The altercation happened in front of mourners.
“These families were getting ready to bury their loved one and they were confronted with a punch-up,” Ben said.

NSW POLICE FULL STATEMENT
About 11am on Saturday (25 June 2022), police were called to a cemetery in Rookwood following reports of an assault.
Officers from Auburn Police Area Command attended and were told a 57-year-old man had been allegedly punched to the face multiple times by another man following a verbal altercation.
It’s believed the pair is known to each other.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 35-year-old man about 3pm at Auburn Police Station.
He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm; and common assault and was given bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on 28 July 2022.
