Police are searching for two men after a double shooting at an apartment complex in Sydney’s inner west.

Police say the two victims were sleeping in their unit at Five Dock when they were disturbed by an intruder just before 4am.

The two men, who are believed to be related, suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to Westmead Hospital.

A 25-year-old man has died after he was shot in the head.

The other man, who is 24-year-old, was shot in the arm and is in a stable condition.

Officers are still searching for two other men who were spotted running from the scene.
