Manly ferry suffers another steering failure near Sydney Heads
A new Manly ferry has suffered another steering failure near Sydney Heads.
The Fairlight’s steering system failed while carrying passengers from Manly to Circular Quay over the weekend.
There was a similar incident less than two months ago.
Action for Public Transport spokesman Graeme Taylor told Joe Hildebrand the steering fault is yet to be properly diagnosed.
“This vessel need to be taken out of service until we have a guarantee the problems have been fixed.”
