Mark Latham demands apology from Tracey Spicer over #MeToo

Article image for Mark Latham demands apology from Tracey Spicer over #MeToo

NSW One Nation leader Mark Latham says journalist Tracey Spicer should apologise for her involvement in the #MeToo movement.

After actor John Jarratt was found not guilty of raping his housemate more than 40 years ago, Mark Latham has called on Ms Spicer to retract her previous claims about predatory men in the media industry.

In 2017, the prominent journalist said she was working with police to “name and shame” over 40 high-profile men who had been accused of sexual assault.

But Mark Latham says it’s now been 637 days since she made the announcement and she has failed to name anyone.

He tells Ben Fordham she should be held to account for hurting people’s reputations.

“It is damaging to good men in the media who are doing the right thing.

“It’s time for Tracey Spicer to come clean… she owes an apology to every good man in the media.”
