Mark Levy tears into NRL’s feather-light penalty for ‘self-entitled’ stars

The Cronulla Sharks’ Josh Dugan has been fined $50,000 by the NRL and charged by police, after allegedly being caught travelling to regional NSW against public health orders.

The Sharks veteran reportedly intends to fight the police charge, and will appear in court October.

However, Mark Levy pointed out this incident is Dugan’s second breach of the NRL’s biosecurity protocols in as many months.

“Can someone explain to me why he hasn’t been sacked, effective immediately?

“Yet again, the League hits these self-entitled footballers with a feather while the majority of the population … follow the rules that are in place for a reason.

“They should’ve ripped up his contract today!”
