Maxi’s marathon mission: Running 84kms for water safety awareness
Trent “Maxi” Maxwell is running two 42-kilometre marathons for the charity Live Learn Survive, to raise money and awareness around the importance of water safety.
All the money raised will go towards donating water safety resources to schools and to libraries as well as sponsoring children to learn life-saving skills.
“This year it’s been the worst ever in NSW, with 90 plus people losing their lives over the summer,” Trent told Deborah Knight.
“I’m running from Brisbane CBD to Victoria Point…We are doing a free community event with the local marine rescue and surf clubs,” he said.
