Mick Fuller opens inquiry to flood-stricken locals
An inquiry into the deadly floods in Northern NSW is set to hold its first public forum.
Locals are being invited to share their stories and experiences from the catastrophic weather event which saw towns inundated.
Former police commissioner Mick Fuller and former chief scientist Professor Mary O’Kane are leading the inquiry into the causes, response and recovery plan.
Mr Fuller told Ben Fordham first-hand accounts are welcome.
“People shouldn’t have to die in their homes during floods, Ben.”
