Minister for Emergency Management & National Recovery and Resilience Bridget Mckenzie has provided clarification on what flood assistance packages will be available to those affected.

Communities in local Northern NSW government areas will receive an Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment.

Ms Mckenzie told Jim Wilson, “Financial and physical resources are being deployed as required”.

Concessional interest rate loans, support for damage and public assets will all be covered amongst others.

“As this recovery begins, we will be rolling out a sweet of measures to ensure that Australians are supported.”
