Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello has announced his plans to retire from politics ahead of the next election.

A family health issue that emerged in mid-2019 is behind his decision.

He will remain in parliament until March 25.

Mr Dominello told Ben Fordham he knew since May 2019 that this would be his last term.

“I knew this was going to be the end.

“I wanted to go when Glad [Gladys Berejiklian] left …. but I spoke to Dom and he encouraged me to stay until the end of the term.”
