‘Miraculous’: Two individuals avoid serious injuries following light helicopter crash
James Willis spoke with Fire and Rescue NSW Superintendent Adam Dewberry after a multi-agency response was initiated at Bankstown Airport due to a light helicopter crash.
Superintendent Dewberry said it was “miraculous” that the two individuals involved in the crash escaped with only “minor injuries”.
Meanwhile, NSW Police have issued the following statement:
“A multi-agency operation is underway at Bankstown Airport following reports a light helicopter had crashed,” the statement read.
“About 2pm today (Thursday 21 September 2023), emergency services were called to Bankstown Airport, Bankstown, following reports a helicopter had crashed.
“On arrival police and paramedics located two people who were uninjured.
“The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified.
“Police are urging the public to avoid the area at this time.”
