‘Moaning and whining doesn’t help’: O’Brien’s blunt response to facing pressure
Newcastle Knights coach Adam O’Brien says there was no point moaning or whining, amid speculation around his future earlier this year.
Only last month, O’Brien was reportedly under pressure at the Knights but after seven straight wins for the club, it seemingly appears those rumours have been put to bed.
O’Brien told The Continuous Call Team there’s no point worrying about it and he’s got the support of his teammates.
“It’s never nice to hear,” O’Brien said.
“But moaning about it and whining about it doesn’t help, all I can do is get in and play my part.
“I’ve been very fortunate that we’ve had a playing group that is very united.
“If you sit around and worry about it all day you won’t get your job done.”
