More than 33,000 COVID fines withdrawn after court ruling
Tens of thousands of fines issued for breaching Public Health Orders in New South Wales will be withdrawn.
Three penalty notices were challenged in court on the grounds they were invalid because of a lack of detail about the offence committed.
Revenue New South Wales says 33,000 of the same types of fines will be dropped. Refunds will be arranged for those who already paid the fines.
