NASA launches rocket outside the US on Aussie soil
In a world-first, NASA has launched a rocket from a commercial facility outside the United States on Australian soil.
The first of three Nasa rockets took off from the Northern Territory space centre last night.
The rocket was only in the air for 15 minutes before returning to earth.
Scientists will use data collected to better understand the Southern Hemisphere.
ANU Space Expert Brad Tucker told Ben Fordham, there is a “desire” to work with Australia “even more” moving forward.
“This is showing how big space is growing in Australia.”
