Natalie Bassingthwaighte reveals what drew her back to Ramsay Street
Australian sweetheart Natalie Bassingthwaite, fondly known as ‘Nat Bass’, is a woman of many talents.
Natalie rose to prominence when she hit our small screens in 2003, playing the role of Izzy Hoyland on the popular Australian drama Neighbours.
Since that time, she’s made leaps and bounds in the entertainment industry – heading the band ‘The Rogue Traders’ and launching a successful solo musical career.
More recently, Natalie has taken a different direction by creating her own range of children’s clothing.
But she hasn’t deserted her acting roots and made her way back to Ramsay Street earlier in the year.
The 43-year-old Aussie all-rounder has joined Ben Fordham in the studio, revealing why she decided to head back to where it all began.
“Can I tell you what really drew me in?” she says.
“The storyline was so funny I couldn’t resist it!”

The interview turned a little cheeky when Natalie handed Ben some unsolicited beauty tips.
As the Australian ambassador for Ultherapy, a non-surgical facelift procedure, she’s keen to get Ben on board.
“You look alright, but we could make you look better,” she laughs.
