Federal funding for the National Library of Australia’s digital resource is winding down, meaning the popular archive could cease operations.

Trove is the popular online resource, accessed by millions of researchers, academics and members of the public each year. It receives $5m annually in government funding.

The digital platform, contains about six billion digital items, including news­papers, magazines, photographs, journals, parliamentary papers, official report.

Professor of history at Macquarie University Michelle Arrow joined Deborah Knight to talk about the importance of the digital resource Trove.
