NCIS puts the call out for local writers!
Junior screenwriters will have the chance to work on the mega TV franchise NCIS as part of a new initiative announced by Screen Australia.
It comes as the show makes it’s way to Australian shores with the launch of NCIS: SYDNEY.
As part of the initiative, five junior screenwriters will embedded in the script department of NCIS for ten weeks.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for Australian story-tellers,” Louise Gough, head of development at Screen Australia, told Joe Hildebrand on 2GB Afternoons.
“And Screen Australia spoke with Paramount+, Endemol Shine Australia, and CBS very early on when it was announced in February.
“(It’s an) amazing opportunity with the cast, the crew, the story-tellers … to learn from one of the biggest franchises in the world!”
