Nepean Belle owners latest victims of incompetent bureaucracy
The owners of the iconic Nepean Belle paddle steamer are doing it tough, following the incompetence of local bureaucrats.
Owner Chris Bennett has been asked to relocate to a temporary jetty while the 40 year old main jetty is upgraded.
Upon the Belle’s first mooring to the temporary structure, it pulled one of the pylons out of the bank – rending it unsafe to moor to and jeopardising Mr Smith’s business.
Chris and his family have been working hard to come to a resolution with government but are receiving little help.
“We’re just trying to keep going … I’m running out of steam,” he told Jim Wilson.
