Nepean Hospital apologises to family for visitor ban
Nepean Hospital will act to address the concerns of a husband prevented from seeing his ill wife.
An infectious disease outbreak at a Nepean Hospital ward has been preventing families from visiting loved ones.
Listener Peter reached out to Ben Fordham after he was kept from seeing his wife Donna amid the visitor ban in the Oncology Ward.
Nepean Hospital General Manager Brett Williams has since apologised to Peter and Donna.
He told Ben Fordham that visitors are able to attend on compassionate grounds.
“We’re doing everything we can to make sure that continues to happen.
“What we need to understand is that COVID continues to circulate and there is a risk to patients.”
The broken lift has also been fixed and is now operational.
