‘No consistency’ for businesses as Premier flip-flops on vaccine passports

NSW businesses have been left “frustrated” by the Berejiklian government’s conflicting messaging about unvaccinated customers.

It remains unclear whether businesses will bear legal fault for allowing unvaccinated people to enter their premises, and if such restrictions will remain in place after the 80 per cent double-dosed milestone.

Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO Andrew McKellar told Ray Hadley the lack of clarity is putting strain on business owners, who have been left with little time to prepare.

“There’s been a so-called national plan out there now for a couple of months, and really we need to be filling in the detail.

“There’s no consistency.

“It is utterly unreasonable to expect that small businesses, in particular, are going to be the cops on the beat.”
