‘No way he’ll ever be with Cricket Australia again’: Matt Hayden tears apart Cricket Australia’s treatment of Justin Langer
Australian Cricket great Matthew Hayden is livid after Cricket Australia’s handling of Justin Langer’s coaching position.
The process of resignation has caused questions and controversy and the former opening batsman told Jim Wilson the handling of the situation has been poor: “It’s very difficult because these environments are very complicated”.
Langer chose to resign after being told he had to reapply for his job after several reports stated players on the team found him too aggressive.
“The players have left Justin Langer hanging.”
Mr Hayden doesn’t view the Australian Captain Pat Cummins in high regard anymore either after remaining silent throughout the whole ordeal telling Jim, “Pat Cummins has lost a lot of respect from the Australian public”.
Langer’s resignation letter was released yesterday, with the Cricket Legend saying the former coach, “stands for honesty, integrity, and mateship”.
After being offered a 6-month contract Mr Hayden couldn’t believe Cricket Australia’s stance stating, “It was a cop-out offer”.
“They’ll be saying sorry in a couple of years time.”
