NRL great Johnathan Thurston ‘overwhelmed and humbled’ ahead of final game
North Queensland Cowboys Johnathan Thurston says he’s been overwhelmed by the farewells he’s been given in the lead up to his retirement.
The rugby league great will run out for his last NRL game when the Cowboys take on the Titans on Saturday.
He tells Alan Jones he’s had time to come to terms with his decision.
“I’ve known for a while that this is coming. I’ve been overwhelmed and humbled by the last six to eight weeks with some of the presentations the other teams have done.”
