Former NSW Origin enforcer and legend Paul Sironen has praised the skills and speed of the modern-day Blues stars ahead of State of Origin two.

Sironen is a True Blue and part of NSW camp as the official Gear Steward and head DJ.

He told The Continuous Call Team the Blues will be ready to try and create history against the Maroons in game two in Brisbane on Wednesday.

“The speed and intensity they train at,” Sironen said.

“I sort of shake my head and think – how did I do that for 13 or 14 seasons?

“They’re all wonderful athletes, fine tuned and it’s a completely different game to when I played Origin some 25-odd years ago.”
