NSW Roads Minister shuts down controversial speed camera survey
The state government has backflipped on a controversial decision to survey the public on speed cameras.
A marketing research company was set to conduct six surveys over three years to better understand public opinion on speed cameras.
Metropolitan Roads Minister Natalie Ward this morning told Ray Hadley the survey, which was expected to cost taxpayers $156,000, has been “shut down”.
“I think there is a more cost-effective way we can gauge community sentiment on this issue,” she said.
