NSW set to criminalise Nazi swastika
NSW is set to become the second state to criminalise the use of the Nazi symbol.
The bill to criminalise knowingly displaying a Nazi symbol in public without a reasonable excuse has passed the lower house with unanimous support.
Those who use the symbol with a reasonable excuse such as art, educational or religious purposes, won’t be prosecuted.
Victoria banned the use of the swastika in June, becoming the first state or territory to do so.
