Former Labor senator Graham Richardson denies reports he voted Liberal at the last federal election.

Speaking on Sky News last night he said, “it is the first time in my life I voted one Liberal”.

But he tells Ben Fordham he definitely didn’t vote for the Liberal Party.

Instead, he admits to placing Liberal candidate Dave Sharma in front of Independent Kerryn Phelps.

“I don’t think the words came out properly.

“No one would think I didn’t vote Labor, I couldn’t possibly do that.

“After all the years of broadcasting that I’ve done, can’t I get a mistake after forty years?!”
