Police Commissioner addresses off-duty cop’s future
The Police Commissioner says an officer will likely be removed from the force after being charged with drink driving.
The off-duty officer was involved in a car crash in Ashcroft yesterday afternoon which injured a child.
Police say the 25-year-old blew an alleged reading of 0.243 – almost five times the legal limit.
Karen Webb told Ben Fordham he’s only been with the force for four months.
“I’m gravely concerned about that.”
The commissioner has taken steps towards stripping him of his duty.
