One million dollar reward for 20 year murder mystery
Police have offered a $1 million reward to anyone with information over the suspected murder of Janine Vaughan almost 20 years ago.
The 31-year-old went missing in Bathurst after she was seen leaving a nightclub and getting into a red car in 2001.
Her body has never been found.
Now, detectives believe new technology will allow them to test weak DNA samples in a car seized over 10 years ago.
Homicide Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Scott Cook tells Chris Smith they have revamped how they deal with homicide cases.
“I think over the coming months and over the coming years, you will see more and more million dollar rewards.
“We know people in the local area have more to tell us and we encourage them to come forward.”
