New South Wales residents are being encouraged to travel close to home to avoid border dramas.

Long testing queues across the state have caused result wait times blowing out to a couple of days as families look to reunite across the border for the holidays.

Tourism & Transport Forum CEO Margy Osmond told Joe Hildebrand “research is everybody’s best friend if they’re attempting to travel interstate”.
