Ophthalmologist Dr Richard Rawson has committed his life to helping others
Dr Richard Rawson has spoken about his 41 years of volunteer medical work with Outback Eye Service and Royal Flying Doctors.
Dr Rawson was trained by famous New Zealand-Australian Ophthalmologist, Fredrick Hollows of The Fred Hollows Foundation over 40 years ago.
He now provides general ophthalmic care and surgery for cataracts and pterygium at his eye centre in Dee Why and works with Paralympians around the world.
“Working with these people is all you need, out in the west there are different genuine and caring entities,” Dr Rawson told Deborah Knight.
