‘Our national shame’: Ben Fordham pleads for action on Australia’s ‘hidden crisis’
Ben Fordham has called out the ongoing mistreatment of our veterans.
More than 1,200 veterans have taken their lives since 2001.
“That is more than the number of casualties Australia suffered in every conflict combined since the Korean War in 1950,” Ben said.
Ben Fordham Live has been contacted by veterans sharing their heartbreaking stories as they wait years for government assistance.
There are more than 60,000 veterans waiting to have their claims heard by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
“These are people who fought for our country, defended our country, and they’ve been abandoned by our country.
“This is a hidden crisis in Australia.”
