Morcombe family’s warning to parents after grandson targeted in online video game by predator

Denise Morcombe is asking parents to be aware of who their children are talking to online after revealing her six year-old grandson, Winston, was targeted by an online predator through the online game Roblox.

Denise and husband Bruce, who have done so much work raising awareness about child safety following the horrific abduction and murder of their son Daniel in 2013, saw an online predator attempting to groom their grandson on the popular online game.

Denise said when she saw messages she sent the offender a strong warning: “Leave our kids alone, you creep”.

Her tips for parents with concerns about online safety are to disable the messaging feature, take a screenshot of anything suspicious and report it.
