Rugby league great Paul Gallen has called for critics to go easy on Blues coach Brad Fittler after New South Wales dropped back-to-back Origin series on Wednesday.

Gallen said it was crucial critics think twice before taking aim at the under-fire Blues coach, declaring it puts heavy “stress” on the Fittler’s family.

“There’s a lot of stress on your family,” Gallen said.
