One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has paid tribute to Labor Senator Kimberley Kitching.

The 52-year-old died suddenly of a suspected heart attack in Melbourne last night.

Pauline Hanson told Ray Hadley she was a dear friend of Ms Kitching’s and is “very upset” about the shock death.

“She took me on as a true friend and she always used to give me this great big hug and say ‘I love you’.

“Some of the other members of parliament, I wouldn’t have the words for them, but I’m not stuck for words for Kimberley.”
