Pauline Hanson says strip club video release was ‘a set-up’

Article image for Pauline Hanson says strip club video release was ‘a set-up’

Pauline Hanson believes she’s been set up by a media organisation that wants to ruin One Nation’s chances at the federal election.

QLD One Nation leader Steve Dickson resigned following the release of a video showing him groping women and making lewd comments at a US strip club.

But One Nation leader Pauline Hanson says the release of the video weeks before the federal election is clearly “a set-up”.

She tells Alan Jones the footage was recorded by Al Jazeera in September last year, but only released by A Current Affair two weeks out from the election.

“They’ve held onto this.

“Someone’s behind this, Alan, and I believe they see me as a real threat to the major political parties.

“I just hope that people see through all this.”
