Pauline’s ultimatum: Coal fired power station in exchange for tax cut approval
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson is demanding the government build a coal-fired power station in exchange for her support of their tax cuts.
The Coalition promised a full $158 billion income tax cut in the federal budget which now needs to pass through parliament.
But Senator Hanson says unless the government commits to building a coal-fired power station, opening a royal commission into family law and greater water security, she will vote ‘no’ to the tax package.
She tells Ben Fordham she is doing what’s in the best interest for those struggling with rising costs of living.
“I have to make the decisions for what I think is best for the people and the country.
“I have businesses about to close shop because they can’t cover the cost of rising electricity costs.”
