Fewer lives were lost on New South Wales roads in 2018, marking the biggest reduction in five years.

354 people were killed, 35 fewer fatalities than in 2017.

Speed-related crashes and fatalities from heavy truck crashes were also down.

“Last year it was carnage,” says Luke Grant.

“People are getting the message.”
