Peta Credlin slams Julie Bishop’s pitch for TV
Peta Credlin has slammed Julie Bishop’s beeline for TV after a proposed talk show, with her at the centre, is being pitched to major TV networks.
The former foreign minister is pitching a new big-budget TV show called The Conversation with Julie Bishop which would see her hosting in-depth chats with the rich and famous.
Ms Credlin, the host of Credlin on Sky News, tells Ben Fordham the show is not one she would be competing with.
“This is where we differ, I talk to real people about issues affecting real people and Julie Bishop wants to talk to the elites, I think that is the reason why she got 11 votes.
“I don’t know that there will be a lot of goodwill for her, it will probably rate if somebody wants to pick it up… but it says a lot about Julie Bishop.”
Former Labor senator Graham Richardson says Ms Bishop needs to take a break from the limelight.
“There’s just a bad look to it.
“You can’t separate yourself that quickly, the divorce takes a bit longer than that.”
