Peta Credlin takes stance against Andrews’ repression of unvaccinated freedoms
Sky News commentator Peta Credlin has questioned Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ approach to reinstating freedoms for the unvaccinated.
The Premier has hinted the unvaccinated may only regain their freedoms well into 2022.
Peta told Jim Wilson she’s “torn” on the issue, arguing while NSW’s approach tips too far in favour of the unvaccinated, Mr Andrews’ stance is too restrictive.
“I just don’t want us to turn into this country where putting police on the streets [and] invasive health dictates are the norm.”
She suggested enforcing strict vaccine mandates now would create a disturbing precedent for future health emergencies.
“If we’ve crossed the threshold, and we’ve made it all but mandatory … what do we do … if we have outbreaks and then we require vaccines that are more troublesome than the ones we have now?
“We’ve got to be careful.”
