Peter Dutton blasts Anthony Albanese’s PM plans before Australia decides
Defence Minister Peter Dutton is calling out the Opposition leader for making plans as prime minister before the public has had their say.
Anthony Albanese would have himself sworn in immediately as Prime Minister if he wins Saturday’s election.
Mr Albanese says this would need to happen so that he can attend Tuesday’s Quad meeting in Japan.
Peter Dutton told Ben Fordham “It sounds a lot to me like he’s taking people’s support for granted”.
“Taking for granted that you’ve already become prime minister, or are on the cusp of it, I think is hubris writ large.”
