Peter Dutton defends choice to attend Pell funeral
Peter Dutton has defended his choice to attend George Pell’s funeral.
Ray Hadley told the Liberal Party leader that given the choice, he “would not be attending”.
“It’s about what happened in the 1970s and findings of the Royal Commissioner sexual abuse that he and others turned a blind eye,” Ray said.
Mr Dutton pushed back on the comments, reflecting on Pell’s contributions to Catholic education and the Church.
