Peter Dutton has ‘no regrets’ one year after challenging Turnbull
Senior government MPs are confident they made the right decision to challenge former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull’s leadership one year ago.
Mr Turnbull was replaced by Scott Morrison after initially being challenged by Peter Dutton.
The Home Affairs Minister tells Ray Hadley he doesn’t regret initiating the spill.
“People are relieved that we’ve changed leader of the Liberal Party.
“In Scott Morrison, I think we’ve got now a leader that reflects the values not only of the party but of the country as well.
“We’ve also saved our country from Bill Shorten becoming Prime Minister, so no regrets in that regard.”
