Peter Dutton: ‘If this continues… somebody will die’

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has once again slammed the Victorian Government for its weak stance on African crime gangs.

As revealed by Macquarie Radio, a group of South Sudanese men went on a spree of violent home invasions on Monday, attacking, threatening and robbing unsuspecting victims in at least five separate incidents.

Minister Dutton was slammed by the left wing media, and even a Victorian judge, earlier this year for calling out the issue.

Now he tells Ray Hadley the situation is worsening and the government is responsible.

“What we said was factually true at the beginning of the year and it’s factually true again now and I’ll make this prediction.

“If this continues, if these home invasions in Victoria continue and the Andrews government allows this problem to remain out of control, somebody will die in one of these home invasions and that is something that will hang around the neck of the Victorian Premier and his government.

“They have been weak on law and order.”

Ray also questioned the minister about Senator Michaelia Cash’s comments about women in Bill Shorten’s office.
