Peter V’Landys confident rules can protect NRL roster from COVID
The NRL boss is confident a stockpile of rapid antigen tests will help the season run smoothly.
Almost every club in the league has players infected with coronavirus as they return to pre-season training.
The Broncos squad has been hit particularly hard, with at least 16 of the 38 members carrying the virus.
ARL Commission chairman Peter V’Landys says his experience in the racing industry shows at-home tests work.
“We’ve been using the rapid antigen tests for six months. The jockeys take the rapid antigen tests home, they test themselves.
“We’ve been able to avoid jockeys that are positive turning up to racecourses.”
