A sweet result for the manuka honey industry

The manuka honey industry is refocusing its attention on promoting our product to the world as a costly legal battle comes to an end.

New Zealand is opting not to appeal a recent trademark ruling by the Intellectual Property Office which denied the country exclusive rights to the term ‘manuka’.

Rural editor Sophie Clarke caught up with Australian Manuka Honey Association chairman Ben McKee to find out what this means going forward.
