Advocates say it’s time for changes to the way insurance companies operate – ahead of the findings of a government inquiry being handed down.

The federal government has been probing how insurers responded to the devastating floods of 2022 in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

Small businesses in the Central West New South Wales town of Molong had their insurance claims knocked back.

Rural Editor Emily Minney spoke with local lawyer Kirsty Evans, who worked with business owners to lodge insurance claims.
