All new fifth-generation WL series Jeep Grand Cherokee L around the corner
An all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee arrives in May with a new stretched six and seven seat body, a lot more technology and the iconic off-road brands first foray here with electric power.
Gone are the trusty V8 petrol and V6 diesel powertrains much to many owners’ disappointment replaced by a 3.6-litre 210kW V6 petrol engine in three grades as well the electrified Grand Cherokee 4xe model due early next year. The highly equipped long wheelbase models will range from $82,250 to $115,450 moving the Grand Cherokee L well into premium territory.
The upgraded five-seat Grand Cherokee remains with pricing yet to be confirmed. Once a popular big seller the Grand Cherokee fell from favour in recent times due to reliability issues and poor customer service issues however the local company suggests it has worked hard to improve the customer experience and improve the cost of ownership.
