Almost half of Aussies have experienced financial abuse

Clinton Maynard

Clinton is joined by Angela MacMillan, Customer Advocate at Commonwealth Bank, to discuss the importance of raising awareness for financial abuse and empowering Australians to ‘TALK’.

Research shows 46% of Australians have experienced or know someone who has faced financial abuse. Many face barriers in addressing it, with 32% lacking confidence to help.

To combat this, CommBank and Future Women are launching the ‘TALK’ series, which educates people on identifying abuse and supporting victims.

TALK stands for Trust, Ask, Listen, and Know.

CommBank’s Next Chapter initiative also provides support to end financial abuse, regardless of banking affiliation.
