ASIC & APRA investigate ‘greenwashing’ climate change claims

Clinton Maynard

Dan Gocher, Australasian Centre for Corporate Responsibility (ACCR) Climate & Environment Director, joins Michael to discuss reports that ASIC & APRA’s are reviewing whether big businesses’ climate change claims really stack up and are taking misleading ‘greenwashing’ claims to court.

“Companies come out and commit to net zero but they don’t provide a lot of substance or their 2025 or 2030 targets are fairly weak. That is a big problem because we know we need to take action now.”
